GUIDELINES FOR CORNERSTONE VOLUNTEERS
Volunteer Staff Helpers
Requirements:
1. Genuine experience of personal salvation through faith in Jesus.
2. Commitment to Jesus as Lord in all areas of life.
3. Love for the unsaved and a desire to lead them to salvation.
4. Willingness to be a servant., availability to all types of ministry, cleaning or whatever capacity is needed.
A. Welcome people.
B. Pass the offering basket.
C. Help with clean-up.
D. Free to participate under the guidance of the scheduled charge staff.
Volunteer Staff
Additional Requirements:
5. Seeking freedom from habits which hinder life and witness.
6. Recommendation from a pastor or present Board member
7. Involvement in a local Bible believing church.
8. Open minded toward all denominations that promote Christ
according to the Bible.
9. Acceptance of staff application by the Cornerstone Board
10. Available to work two to four nights per month
(minimum of two)
11. Must attend staff meetings (as work schedules permit)
12. Qualified to assume staff and board responsibilities.
13. Completion of Cornerstone Orientation Program
14. Write out, review and be able to lead someone to Christ
15. Ability to handle problems as they arise at the Cornerstone
Additional Responsibilities
E. In charge of total function of the Cornerstone on scheduled
work nights.
F. Care of the Counter, concessions and phone on work nights.
G. Keep an eye on children and call parents to playroom
if needed.
H. Participation on clean up days, assist with keeping
the Cornerstone neat.
I. Participation in special events (jog-a-thon, fellowship meals, etc.)
J. Will have keys to the Cornerstone and be responsible for
their safekeeping.
K. Available to serve in organizing and working with special events.
L. Will make announcements on weekends.
M. Meet and pray with the ministering groups/individuals prior
to evening ministry.
Requirements
Same as for Volunteer staff (see above)
Additonal Responsibilities
P. Responsible for their specific job area.
Q. Will oversee and recruit help to complete work in their area or responsibility.
R. Will attend the Cornerstone Board meetings.
S. Constitute the voting members governing the Cornerstone.
